Dear Yoginis,

Things are changing a bit here at Oaktree Yoga. I have decided to move away from offering beginner’s courses in 2019 and instead create a welcoming general level class on Tuesday evenings. This class is aimed at beginners, those with a few months yoga experience as well as long standing students. Yes, everyone is welcome.

During the Tuesday evening yoga classes students will be offered various options and pose variations throughout the practice so that no matter where you are at, the class can still be accessible as well as appropriately challenging.

So with that in mind, please see find March's timetable below. Now can’t wait to see you on the mat.

happy New Year! I hope you all enjoyed a restful (or crazy fun), safe and happy move into 2019. Any big new year's resolutions? If so, does it include more yoga? If it DOES then this month’s yoga timetable should have just what you need …

1. Dynamic Yoga  

Tuesday: January 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th at The Forest Hill Space 

TIME: Please see time notes below! 

There will be classes during the month of January - 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th. We will start at 7.30pm for the first two classes (8th and 15th) IF I run the beginner's course we’ll start the classes on 22nd and 29th will be at 7.15pm. 

However, if I postpone the start of the beginner’s course, we’ll start our practice at 7.30pm all throughout January. I shall keep you posted and/or please check this section of the website for updates. 

During the month of January we will be practicing ashtanga vinyasa yoga again as it's the PERFECT sequence to focus on liver strengthening, cleansing and purification. 

You can attend all 4 classes (£41), 3 classes (£31.50) or attend classes on a drop-in basis (£12). Please contact me on oaktreeyoga(at)yahoo(dot)co(dot)uk for further details and a booking form. I look forward to hearing from you.


2. Pregnancy Yoga

3. 6-week Ashtanga Yoga Beginner's Course

I shall teach a new Ashtanga yoga beginner's course starting in January, 2019 for those of you who want to start 2019 with a little bit of a bang. Also if you know someone who has been toying with the idea of starting yoga but hasn't quite made it onto a yoga mat yet, please do spread the word; if you bring a friend you both receive 10% off! So, the more, the merrier. The dates will be as follows:

January 22nd, 29th

February 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th 

Classes will take place on Tuesdays, at the Forest Hill Space on Havelock Walk, start at 8.40pm and run for 1 hour. If you would like to attend, please do not hesitate to get in touch via e-mail. DECEMBER NEWSLETTER

it's here, the last newsletter of the year. Only 3 more lessons before we bring the year to a close and I can't think of a better way to end 2018 than with our beloved ashtanga vinyasa sequence. So without further ado, here the details you need to see 2018 out with a nice stretch ;)

1. Dynamic Yoga  

Dynamic Yoga

Tuesday: December 4th, 11th and 18th at The Forest Hill Space (no class December 25th)

TIME: 7.30pm - 8.50pm! 

There will be classes during the month of December - 4th, 11th and 18th (no class Tuesday December 25th for obvious reasons). We will start at 7.30pm and classes will run until 8.50pm! For the month of December we will be practicing ashtanga vinyasa yoga, but I may include a longer relaxation posture sequence at the end as this seems to have hit the spot last month ;).

NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER

Dear Yogis and Yoginis,

despite the days getting shorter and colder, I've got some good ideas on how to ensure your yoga practice continues to be enjoyable for this time of the year. I'm planning on ensuring the heating is nice and warm AND I'll also be blending dynamic yoga flow postures with more relaxing, restorative postures in this month's sequence. Want to find out more? For the month of Novemberwe will be practicing a dynamic vinyasa flow sequence for the first 50 minutes and spend the last 30 minutes moving into deeper postures focusing on stretching and relaxation ;).

3. I've launched a PODCAST!

I've recently launched my first podcast called Eat, Capture, Share. It's not about yoga, but focuses more on food, photography and social media. If you enjoy podcasts, know someone who would benefit from the information I have to share or ar just curious, you can listen in podcast on apple podcasts, stitcher or castbox

1. The Saveur Awards 

As many of you know I started a vegan food blog THE LITTLE PLANTATION 4 years ago. It was initially a passion project, that turned into a little obsession that has not been chosen from 23,000(!) blogs as one of 6 finalist in the best food photography category of this year's Saveur Blog Awards. It's hands down the biggest thing that can ever happen to a food blogger and hence I'll be renewing my US passport to fly out to Memphis for the awards in November,(yoga happening as per usual around that time BTW ;)). There will be 4 classes during the month of September - 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th. We will start at 7.30pm and classes will run until 8.50pm! You can attend all 4 classs (£41), 3 classes (£31.50) or attend classes on a drop-in basis (£12).

 

The Booking System:

- Please e-mail me to advise me which one(s) and how many of the sessions you wish to attend. 

- I shall then e-mail you back as soon as possible to confirm your space

- Only when you have received my confirmation e-mail would I ask for your payment to be made. 

- Please check the booking form for terms and conditions

- I start promptly at 7.30pm, but if you are late, no worries just join us when you can. 

 

For the month of September we will be practicing a vinyasa flow sequence as yet to be choreographed ;). 

 

Notice: If you have booked, but cannot attend on the day, do let me know. Please note, no refunds can be offered however. Sorry. For refund and transfer details please check the booking form for reference.
