Do I need to be flexible to practice yoga?
No, not at all. At Oaktree Yoga we welcome all type of bodies – those who are very bendy and those who can’t touch their toes. All that matters is that you come with an open heart and open mind.

I have an injury, can I practice yoga?
Generally speaking, yoga is an excellent way to support the body in its healing process. However every body is different and we ask you contact us at oaktreeyoga@yahoo.co.uk to discuss this matter in more detail.

I don’t have a yoga mat, can I still attend class?
In order to practice yoga, you will need a yoga mat. You can buy a yoga mat through us but will need to order one in advance. Please e-mail us at oaktreeyoga@yahoo.co.uk for further details.

We have some spare mats which you can borrow. But please note that they are available on a first come, first serve basis only.

What do I need to do to prepare for a class?
  • At the Honor Oak, please come dressed in comfortable work-out attire as  changing facilities are limited. Layers are best, as your body temperature changes throughout your practice. Be prepared to work in bare feet.
  • We provide some mats for you to borrow, but we encourage you to purchase your own. Your mat is an important tool and a symbol of commitment to your practice. You can buy a mat through us. Please e-mail us at oaktreeyoga@yahoo.co.uk for further details.
  • Avoid practicing with a full stomach, and drink plenty of water before class to remain hydrated through your practice.
